International Basket Brigade 2016
Hello Basket Brigade Coordinators!
As we prepare to close out 2016, we would love to hear how your Basket Brigade went this year! We had such an amazing response to the donated "Notes from a Friend" books and hope they were able to add happiness to your baskets and the families who received them.

Please take a minute to fill out this short survey so we can use the feedback to celebrate the success of 2016! Tony is looking forward to seeing how many baskets everyone was able to contribute this year and seeing the OUTSTANDING total number of baskets helps encourage others to get involved!

If it wasn't for our amazing volunteer coordinators we wouldn't have the Basket Brigade as an International Movement.  Thank you for your time and contribution! We're looking forward to your feedback.

Wishing you all a very happy holiday season and joyous New Year!

Deliver the Baskets

DELIVER THE BASKETS!
Surprise can be one of the most important components in creating an unforgettable moment!

Enjoyment and gratitude are a large part of the International Basket Brigade and safety is too. Whoever helps to deliver the baskets needs to use their best judgement as they travel to unfamiliar areas. Cultural differences may exist. Be alert in the neighborhoods you enter, gentle in your presence, and safe in your journey.

Assign a few volunteers the task of creating maps in advance so the drivers avoid getting lost. Try to only have a small team (2-4 people at the most) deliver each basket. It is important not to overwhelm your recipients. Keep your visit brief. In the eyes of the recipients, you are the delivery people, the donors are anonymous.

Sharing is Caring!
Get the movement known and share your progress on social media. You can share photos of your supplies, completed baskets, and team of volunteers working hard! Be sure to use the following hashtags to gain the International Basket Brigade the most exposure!

Basket possibilities

CREATE THE BASKETS!
When creating your basket, fill it with a combination of delicious goodies and practical items (make sure to stay away from used items). Don’t forget to decorate with ribbons, bows, vibrant colors, etc. Be unique and creative! Your basket should convey that it is a gift, not a handout; a present, not charity! Make sure to include the following message in each basket:
"This comes to you from someone who cares about you. All we ask is that you take care of yourself well enough to be able to do this for someone else someday."
“Este regalo para ti, es de alguien que lo estima mucho. Lo unico que pedimos es cuando usted se recupera algún dia usted puede ser lo mismo para alguien mas.”
Here are some basic items you may consider including in your baskets. The possibilities are unlimited!
The Family Basket:
  • Turkey, ham, roast beef
  • Bread, rolls
  • Fresh fruit, canned fruit or vegetables, canned gravy, canned soups, fruit juice
  • Cookies, cakes, pies
  • Paper products, laundry products
  • Unscented soaps, lotions
  • Toothbrush, toothpaste, brush, hair ties
  • Toys, books, coloring books, crayons
The Homeless Bag or Backpack:
  • Cooked sliced turkey or ham
  • Bread, rolls
  • Fresh fruit and juices
  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Cookies, cakes, pies
  • Clothing, flashlight, blankets, socks, mittens
  • Soaps, lotions, babywipes
  • Paper products

HOW TO DO A BASKET BRIGADE AS A COORDINATOR

1. Commit to being a leader
2. Develop a TEAM
3. Secure resources
4. Find families who will benefit from your efforts
5. Use a personal approach:  one family/one basket
6. Include the tools to help them turn it around
7. Celebrate

Be creative and get your friends involved.  You can do as many or as few baskets as you desire, but the main thing is to STEP UP AND LEAD.  Be the solution not the problem.  Help those around you who are struggling to turn it around by giving them the tools we share through all of Tony Robbin's companies.  The secret to living is giving, so GIVE WITH PASSION every single day of the year.

Basket brigades internationally are happening throughout the year not just during traditional holidays.
